3.62" (9.2 cm) Phytosaur Armor Scute from the Chinle Formation of Apache County Arizona.

Phytosaurs were Archosaurs in between dinosaurs and Crocodiles. They looked like Crocodiles but were much older and not directly related. Phytosaurs has serrated teeth and their nose was on the top of their head near their eyes 

There are a few spots with restoration.
