0.62" (1.6 cm) Bathornis Toe Bonefrom the Brule Formation of Custer County, South Dakota. 35-30 million years old. Bathornis was a large flightless birds probably related to phorusrhacids (Terror Birds). These are quite uncommon to find in the White River.
