1.5" (3.8 cm) Pelycosaur composite toe (Dimetrodon?) from the Texas Red Beds of Clay County, Texas. This comes with 4 bones from the toe of a pelycosau, it is composite so each bone may have been from a different animal. From the Permian period, this synapsid is about 287 million years old. This is likely from Dimetrodon but there is a small chance it's from Ophiacodon.
