
0.48" (1.22 cm) Pelycosaur tail vertebrae (Dimetrodon?) from the Texas Red Beds of Clay County, Texas. From the Permian period, this synapsid is about 287 million years old. This is likely from Dimetrodon but there is a small chance it's from Ophiacodon.
